6 of our favourite scents for Valentine’s Day 2019

Our top pick is Original Collection No.1 Feminine, which is classified as a woody oriental and features a complex blend of plum, white peach, rose, jasmine, carnation, vanilla and tonka bean. In short, it’s the kind of scent that captures people’s attention in the best kind of way.

Giorgio Armani Pivoine Suzhou Soie De Nacre is truly special, and we’re not just talking about the tiny flecks of glitter in the formula that illuminate your skin. The scent itself carries mandarin as a top note, which is carefully balanced by raspberry, rose, pink pepper, musk and patchouli to boost the longevity of the scent. We think that it’s seriously irresistible and a stand-out scent to collect.

As the name suggests, Floral Street Neon Rose EDP is packed full of roses, but the scent is far from being predictable. Additions of bergamot, apple blossom, juniper berry and cedarwood provide depth to the fragrance, while spicy sichuan pepper adds a nice kick overall.

Don’t be fooled by this pretty bottle from Miu Miu; Fleur D'Argent EDP Absolue is a heady scent that is bound to make a statement. The scent itself shows off a heavy hit of tuberose, which is softened by crowd-pleasing notes of lily of the valley, musk and akigalawood for balance.

Although Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EDP is technically a men’s fragrance, we think that it smells equally as pretty on women. In this scent, top notes of vetiver are muddled with orange flower and grapefruit for sweetness, and are followed by warming orris, nutmeg, amber woods and oak moss that add a green and spicy character.

When it comes to fragrances (especially floral ones), we’re accustomed to seeing notes like jasmine and rose being celebrated as the heroes. But what blew us away when we came across Goldfield & Banks Southern Bloom was the introduction to boronia, which is native to Australia and packs a serious punch. The exotic flavour doesn’t stop there; the fragrance is also accentuated by cassis, sandalwood, coconut and iris for a one-of-a-kind.
