The product

Having dry and dull skin can be a real pain, and honestly, it often requires a complete pivot in terms of skin care (but that doesn’t mean your self-care experience can’t be dripping in luxury).

You’d be wise to pack up any fragranced products ASAP, and drying actives such as retinol and salicylic acid should probably become ‘sometimes’ ingredients. Instead, it’s all about sticking to effective, long-lasting hydrators when you’re browsing the back of your skin care products.

Olay Regenerist Ultra-Rich Hydrating Cream Fragrance Free has been formulated with dry, dull skin types in mind. It’s a completely fragrance free, rich-textured, luxurious moisturiser that’s packed full of niacinamide, peptides and shea butter to effectively hydrate, while also encouraging a softer, smoother complexion.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about the Olay Regenerist Ultra-Rich Hydrating Cream Fragrance Free.

The fragrance-free formula: As much as our Review Crew® members love a bit of fragrance in their skin care from time to time, they still like to give their skin a bit of a breather by visiting fragrance-free formulas.

How hydrating it was: The ultra-rich, luxurious formula meant that our reviewers experienced long-lasting hydration post-application, and even the reviewers with very dry skin said they were impressed by how the moisturiser relieved their dehydration.

How smooth and soft their skin felt: Thanks to the inclusion of hydrating and refining niacinamide, reviewers said they experienced a considerable change in the texture and tone of their skin, with many noting that their skin felt softer and smoother with continued use. The addition of lightweight hydrators also meant our reviewers could enjoy a non-greasy finish after application.

“I really love this hydrating cream, I have been using it for around 3-4 weeks now and my skin is loving it! I especially enjoy that it is fragrance free. It is a thick cream but doesn’t feel heavy on your skin. It also has one of my favourite ingredients in it: Niacinamide! My skin absolutely loves it. I have been especially stressed the last few months and my skin has been really dry and dehydrated but this cream has put moisture back into my skin and all round my skin just looks and feels healthy. I will definitely repurchase once I've finished this jar. Also keeping in mind the jar is a big jar and a little goes a long way as the cream is so thick so I think the price point is pretty fair on this one.”

“First time using Olay Regenerist Ultra-Rich Hydrating Cream Fragrance Free. I really love the packaging and how easy the lid is to remove. One hand is all you need. I am super happy with the results I have seen in just three weeks. I like that this product is fragrance free because it doesn’t affect my other senses. I have tried numerous creams and have found that this product didn’t leave my skin oily or dry, in fact it’s the first time in ages that it feels smooth and refreshed. My skin feels softer and I am getting lots of compliments on how refreshed my skin looks which is definitely an added bonus. I would recommend it for anyone to try. For now, this is my new best night cream!”

“The traditional olay moisturising pit is back and this time it is fragrance-free and ultra-rich, perfect for dry skin. Having the option of a fragrance-free is always wonderful. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good scent, but there are moments, especially at night, when I want my face to feel more moisturised and taken care of, without an overwhelming scent. Not only does my skin feel softer with continued use, but I have also had people comment on the softness and texture. The moisturiser itself is creamy and light. Would definitely get it again.”
