Every step in Molly-Mae Hague's skin care routine

Hot on the heels of Molly-Mae Hague's engagement to Tommy Fury, our social media feeds have been inundated with photos of Hague's beaming smile, enormous diamond and one of the glowiest complexions we've seen in a long time. Which brings us to our next question: is the secret to good skin being happy and crazy in love or does it have something to do with the Love Island UK winner's 7-step skin care routine?

Speaking from personal experience, we know all too well that being smitten and still cooking up a monster pimple is unfortunately very possible.

So with that, it's time to turn our focus to the exact products Hague has credited as the reason she's seen a "significant change in [her] skin."

Molly-Mae Hague's skin care routine

Step 1: Cleanse

Once a fan of face wipes until she was repeatedly warned off them, Hague now exclusively uses the makeup melting Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm ($88 at Elemis). 

"This product is absolutely incredible to remove my makeup, I just take two fingernails of product and I just massage it into my skin" she said in a video shared to her YouTube channel. 

For another cleansing oil that's equally as proficient in dissolving stubborn makeup and keeping your pores free from dirt, we love the Samson & Charlie Clarifying Cleansing Oil ($59.95 at Samson & Charlie).

Step 2: Exfoliate 

For the same reason we double cleanse, Hague follows her makeup removal step with Clinique's 7-Day Scrub Cream ($56 at Adore Beauty) to rid her skin of any lingering residue. "It might be a bit extra to exfoliate your skin every single night after you take your makeup off but I just find this gets my skin super, super clean," she explained.

"Even after three washes I still find I've got makeup on my skin and this is great for getting right [into] your pores."

Step 4: Tone

She might've found her husband-to-be in the Love Island villa but Hague also found her ride or die toner too. 

"This is a tip that I learned from Amber [Gill] in the villa," she said. "[It's] basically a toner that exfoliates at the same time," speaking of the NIP + FAB Glycolic Fix Liquid Glow Extreme ($39.99 at Oz Hair and Beauty).

Step 5: Serums

Though Hague admits it's hard to even notice any anti-ageing benefits in your 20s, she still consistently uses two youth-enhancing serums from Estée Lauder because "they just leave my skin feeling hydrated, moisturised and feeling plump and healthy." 

The first? Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex ($138 at Myer) followed by the Advanced Night Repair Intense Reset Concentrate ($136 at David Jones).

"Estée Lauder skin care products in general are meant to be incredible, but they are definitely slightly pricey," she said.

Step 5: Moisturise 

"I know this one is super pricey but it is brilliant," she said of the cult-favourite Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream ($189 at Charlotte Tilbury). And while Hague uses this product every night, she doesn't recommend for "every skin type" describing it as an "intense, oily, greasy product." 

"When I put it on my face I have to sleep facing up because if it touches the pillow it feels like it's sticking. It's not for everyone but I love it. When I wake up in the morning my skin feels like a baby's bum."

Step 6: Eye cream and lip mask

When it comes to keeping her under-eyes bright and her crow's feet lines minimal, Hague swaps between the Clinique All About Eyes Rich ($68 at Adore Beauty) and the Estée Lauder Resilience Multi Effect Tri Peptide Eye Creme ($122 at Myer). As for her lips, Hague avoids "dusty, musty, crusty lips" by massaging in the Laneige Lip Mask in 'Vanilla' ($31 at Sephora).
