Miley Cyrus is a budget skin care lover and her supermarket cleanser proves it

Oh she’s just being Miley…

Everybody makes mistakes. Everybody has those days. Everybody knows what—what I'm talkin' 'bout. Everybody(s skin) gets that way. The mistakes we’re talking about? Slathering our skin in harsh harmful products when it’s clearly calling out for a serious skin care break. But of course when our skin is reacting, that’s when we need to treat it with the utmost kindness.

One celeb that knows this to be true? Miley Cyrus, who counts a few sensitivity-friendly skin buys among her most prized possessions (alongside her newly acquired Grammys) Cyrus basically took over the Grammys in the best, glowiest way possible. Not only did she (finally) take her first one home, the star sang a heart-warming rendition of her hit “Flowers”. Now we don’t need to pick petals to know how much we love her, but she’s officially solidified our place in our hearts with her super affordable skin care routine.

The makeup look itself was created with an incredible array of Pat McGrath’s ethereal products. Her ultra-blown out hair gave us major Dolly Parton vibes (our country-loving hearts would love a collab of the two in the same sky-high style). But the beauty aspect that surprised us the most? Her skin care routine. After years of being poked and prodded with makeup (and skin care) it’s not overly surprising to find out that Miley Cyrus has super sensitive skin. And here’s exactly how she takes care of it…

Cetaphil; The Gentle Skin Saviour

Cryrus’ talented makeup artist James Kaliardos partnered with dermatologist-recommend brand Cetaphil to help soothe and prepare her skin for the carpet. Kaliardos took to Instagram to explain the partnership, saying he “wanted to have [her] skin feel clean, hydrated, and soothed.” Having worked with Cetaphil for years, Kaliardos knows all the tips and tricks to apply and get the most out of the products.

Kaliardos started off by cleansing her face with the Cetaphil Hydrating Foaming Cream Cleanser ($19.99 at Adore Beauty). The skin-loving inclusions of aloe vera and vitamin B no doubt left her skin feeling (and looking) super refreshed. Next, Kaliardos worked Cetaphil Daily Hydrating Lotion with Hyaluronic Acid ($22.99 at Adore Beauty) into Cyrus’ skin with the help of stimulating massage tools. These tools help to relax the tense facial muscles, perfect for the intense lights and a great pre-performance ritual for Cyrus. The non-comedogenic, lightweight, fragrance-free moisturiser also features SPF35 so her skin was left protected against harmful UV rays.

For her glowing hydrated body Kaliardos used Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion ($22.99 at Adore Beauty). The nourishing creamy lotion created a velvety subtle glow for Cyrus’ Grammys glam.

Not done with the Miley love? Here’s all of Miley’s fave beauty products…

Emma Allcock began her career in the world of fashion and beauty in 2015, interning for various PR fashion houses. Naturally her love for style soon extended to beauty, and Emma landed firmly in the beauty and wellness world thanks to an internship-turned-role at local Australian fragrance brand Maison Blanche. One thing that remained consistent whether unpacking accessories or creating social content? Her commitment to an always-perfect manicure. Luckily, she’s since turned her talents to helping her readers achieve the same, writing about all things beauty and wellness. Emma is now a Content Producer for BEAUTYcrew, with her words and recommendations also appearing across Girlfriend and beautyheaven. Emma loves the process of diving deep into the world of testing (and writing) about everything from haircare to fragrance. When she’s not slathering her skin in something new, she’s going for an early morning stroll to catch a stunning sunrise (coffee in hand, of course), because life’s all about that wellness balance after all.
