Meghan Markle nails the royal beauty protocol in her first official outing
She looks more royal than ever
In her first post-wedding appearance, Meghan Markle has gone full Duchess mode, looking every bit the royal - and she seems to be right at home.
Attending a garden party at Buckingham Palace to honour Prince Charles’ (early) 70th birthday, the new Duchess of Sussex showcased a remarkably polished beauty look - and we are so ready to debrief *everything*.
A departure from her usual pre-royalty messy low bun, she wore her long brunette locks in a structured side chignon (oh, hello there hat!). Slicked back and sophisticated, the look was everything you’d expect from a royal (there seriously wasn’t a hair out of place). Nailed. It.
While still showing off those to-die-for freckles under a natural-coverage foundation, for the rest of her makeup Meghan opted for a darker smoky eye and more contoured features than she did on her wedding day, teamed with a flush of rosy blush on the apples of her cheeks. And can we just take a minute to talk about that highlighter? Because it is absolute goals. Her skin is positively newlywed GLOWING.
We think she was made for this whole royal thing.
