Kim Kardashian is launching her very own makeup line

Update: While we had no doubt that Kim Kardashian’s launch of her own beauty line, KKW Beauty would be anything other than successful, the degree of that success has surprised us. According to Hollywood Life, the 300,000 Contour and Highlighting Kits on offer sold out in less than 20 minutes, meaning the A-lister raked in more than $14 million in less time than it takes most of us to get ready in the morning. Oh, the lives of the rich and famous!
The inevitable has just happened: Kim Kardashian has announced she’s launching her very own makeup line, KKW Beauty. The announcement came on Instagram recently with the A-lister sharing three teaser videos of her latest project.
There is still relatively little information on the full extent of the collection, but Kim did reveal on her Instagram story that her beauty line, which is set to launch on 21st June 2017, will (unsurprisingly) feature a range of cream contouring products, available in four shades – light, medium, dark and deep dark. Additionally, the reality star shared in an interview with Forbes that a highlighter kit and a dual-ended brush, ideal for blending, will also be included.
While a set of contouring products is the least surprising choice for Kim, she explained her decision by saying: “I change up my looks all the time, but the one thing that’s consistent is contour.”
And it seems Kim might be taking a leaf out of her younger sister Kylie’s makeup book, sharing that she has plans to release additional products inspired by her favourite beauty buys as often as once a month. “Hopefully, every month we’ll have a drop of another product,” she explained. “I’m focusing on skin and the contouring and concealer and all my favourite things will be coming out soon.”
After years of having her makeup professionally applied every day by the best in the business, we’re sure Kim has picked up a thing on two when it comes to what makes makeup great.
