The product
Perfecting that coveted ‘no makeup’ makeup look is something we’re always on about. But finding a range of products that strike the balance between improving, while not masking, your natural beauty can be difficult.
Well, we’ve found a range specifically designed to do just this (you’re welcome!). The newly released L’Oréal Paris Wake Up and Glow range is a total game-changer when it comes to nailing that effortless, everyday look. The range includes the L’Oréal Paris La Vie En Glow Highlighting Palette, L'Oréal Paris Bonjour Nudista Skin Tint, L'Oréal Paris Life’s a Peach Skin Awakening Blush, L'Oréal Paris Back to Bronze Matte Bronzer and L'Oréal Paris Glow Mon Amour Liquid Highlighter.
Now, when it comes to powder highlighters (which have the all-important role of making your complexion beam with health), there are good ones and there are bad ones. The latter tend to be chalky, patchy, too glittery or not quite glowy enough. L’Oréal Paris La Vie En Glow Highlighting Palette however, is the former: it’s the highlighter for achieving that natural glow.
Our panel of Review Crew® testers put this product to the test.
The panel
Beauty Crew sent the L’Oréal Paris La Vie En Glow Highlighting Palette, as well as the L'Oréal Paris Bonjour Nudista Skin Tint, L'Oréal Paris Life’s a Peach Skin Awakening Blush, L'Oréal Paris Back to Bronze Matte Bronzer and L'Oréal Paris Glow Mon Amour Liquid Highlighter, to a panel of women aged between 20 and 40 who were searching for products to perfect their ‘no makeup’ makeup look.
The lowdown
Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about the L’Oréal Paris La Vie En Glow Highlighting Palette.
The finish the highlighter provided: Members commented on the velvety and finely-milled texture of the highlighter, which they said made it easy to blend for the ideal amount of glow factor. Reviewers loved the high-end finish the palette provided - without the hefty price tag.
How easy to build the formula was: Members were fans of how the highlighter could be applied with a light hand for a work or daytime look, but could also be layered to up the glow for an evening out.
The versatility of the shades in the palette: The review team found themselves using the highlighters not just in a traditional manner across the cheekbones, but also as eyeshadows, on other areas of the face and across the collarbones.
Good to know: The packaging features a map of the face on the back that is colour coded and includes suggestions for where to apply each shade on the face. As the Review Crew® members noted, this is very handy for those trying highlighters for the first time!
