BLACKPINK’S Lisa is M.A.C’s brand new global ambassador, and we’re EXCITED

When it comes to record-breaking, boundary-smashing girl groups, you’d be hard pressed to name one more beloved than BLACKPINK.

Their catalogue is full of absolute bangers (like ‘How You Like That’, a recent release that happened to casually break multiple world records when it hit YouTube), and the women behind the tracks are just as incredible.

If we’re talking beauty brands, however, one that’s totally on par with BLACKPINK in the whole ‘being revolutionary and amazing’ arena, is M.A.C. So, it’s pretty damn fitting that they’ve just recruited BLACKPINK’s Lisa (whose full name is Lalisa Manobal, FYI) to be their brand new global ambassador. Cue shrieks of excitement.

As the most followed K-Pop influencer on Instagram (the girl’s got over 39 million followers, so you know she didn’t come to play), Lisa’s not only a phenomenal singer, dancer and rapper (triple threat alert!), but also happens to be an absolute icon in the beauty realm.

The partnership makes total sense: she’s a complete chameleon in the hair and makeup game, having rocked everything from gemstone eyeliner and burgundy lippy to pink eyeshadow that matched her bubblegum wig to a tee.

“I have always been a big fan of M.A.C.! I like how the brand turns makeup into a form of self-expression, which always gives me great confidence on stage,” Lisa said of her new role. “Together with M.A.C, I am excited to invite and empower more audiences as we both have individuality and diversity at our core.”

So, while we watch Light Up The Sky (BLACKPINK’s new Netflix documentary, ICYMI) for the zillionth time (since Wednesday, yes, we’re obsessed), we recommend you enjoy a deep dive into Lisa’s ‘gram in the name of endless makeup inspo – considering her new role, you can bet that it’ll get even better from here on out…
