Emma Stone just wore Taylor Swift-inspired eyeshadow

If it wasn’t already official, this latest look has proved it. The Y2K revival is well and truly upon us. First we saw Abbie Chatfield bringing back the iconic blue shadow in a big way. And now, Emma Stone has thrown her hat in the metaphorical Y2K ring. But what did she do to earn this level of nostalgia from us? Welcome to the soft, subtle and yet so impactful ‘Lavender Haze eyeshadow’. If you’re like Stone, a pop of purple is set to make your glorious green eyes stand out like a dream.

So you’re looking to recreate this red carpet ready eyeshadow look? Well thankfully for us makeup artist Rachel Goodwin walked us through the entire Charlotte Tilbury look. And boy were we pleased to see how simple this stunning look is to recreate. So simple in fact, it uses only three (stunning) products. 

The first product Goodwin used was the Charlotte Tilbury The Beautyverse Palette ($120 at Charlotte Tilbury). This palette features nine glorious shades that range all the way from neutral matte to sparkling metallic. Goodwin used just two simple shades “Virtual Taupe” and an all over hit of “Digital Lilac”.

For an extra hint of shimmer, Goodwin used the long-lasting creamy Eyes To Mesmerise shadow in ‘Champagne’ ($50 at Charlotte Tilbury), finishing the look off with a lick of lash-defining (ultra-lengthening, check out Stone’s lashes) mascara. For that fluttery lash look, Goodwin used the Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes! ($48 at Charlotte Tilbury).

See what’d we say? The shadow look is seriously simple. We can definitely see ourselves becoming the office sirens with this sultry, soft shadow look. Now all we have to do is practice and perfect our techniques. Oh and play the matching track, of course; over to you Taylor Swift…
