This new celebrity makeup brand is already a top-seller on Amazon

When the rumours started circulating about Lady Gaga launching her own makeup brand last year following the singer filing for a trademark for a beauty collection, the world was excited. But Gaga kept us waiting for a whole year, and the hype kind of died down with time. 

Well, at least it seemed to. But perhaps everyone took that time to save up, because as soon as Lady Gaga’s beauty brand Haus Laboratories announced it was finally here (or at least, you could place a pre-order) - and that is was launching exclusively on her own website hauslabs.com (which ships to Australia!) and Amazon (well-timed with their epic annual Prime Day sale, no less) - it seems *everyone* was clicking to buy. 

Yep, her not-even-launched collection has already made its way onto Amazon’s top-seller list. 

Currently, the Haus Laboratories range includes three products, with a focus on lips: RIP Lip Liner, Le Riot Lip Gloss and Glam Attack. All her products are high-impact and super-pigmented (each product comes in six shades), and designed to be used in multiple ways.

Since it’s hard to put faith in products that you - and actually, no one in the world - has tried, we’re even more impressed with the immediate fan following. Although, Lady Gaga did give an insight into what you can expect from her products in an interview with Allure.

"First and foremost, I wanted to create the lip pencil of my dreams. I love lip pencils, but for me there always ends up being something wrong with them. With this formula, I can line my lips beautifully, but most of the time, I wear it all over my mouth. It feels like a lipstick, and it does not transfer. The finish is semi-matte and highly pigmented, but if you want to you can sheer it out and use it almost like a stain. You can put it on your cheeks. I use it all over my face.”

Glam Attack, which is a liquid eyeshadow (although you can also use it on your lips and cheeks), was Lady Gaga’s solution to annoying eyeshadow fallout. “I find that with most liquid eye shadows there tends to be this dry-down that's very cracky and can fall out after several hours, and that's not the case with this. We've definitely tested these products.... I will say they're show-proof."

The number one best-seller in Amazon’s beauty department at the moment is, unsurprisingly, the 3-piece Haus of Collections, which includes one of the lip liners, one of the liquid eyeshadows, and one of the lip glosses. It’s the perfect sample set to dip your toes into Gaga’s makeup foray.
