Workout tips
How often do you go to the gym?
I love going to the gym – I try to go three times a week. I have a very stressful lifestyle, so it’s good for me to work out all that stress.
What helps you stay motivated?
I listen to country or rap music when I exercise. I work out with my trainer, David Kirsch, at his gym, Madison Square Club [in New York City].
Do you intensify your workouts when you know you have a shoot coming up?
I never do anything dramatic in preparation for a shoot, but David bumps up the intensity of my routine, taking me through full-body workouts. I leave feeling amazing, even though I’m a sweaty mess.
What’s your favourite workout?
When it comes to exercise I always try and find new things to do. Swimming, bike riding – anything. I love being outside. When I go home to Florida, I ride my horse.
Any beauty tips?
Before a workout, I usually put my hair in a ponytail to make sure it stays off my face. After the gym, I wash my hair with Leonor Greyl hair products.
Beauty secrets
What’s your secret to great skin?
I’m always moisturising my skin. I like to use Bobbi Brown Hydrating Gel Cream because it’s lightweight without feeling greasy, plus it smells amazing. After a workout, I quickly wash and tone my skin, and add another layer of moisturiser.
How do you maintain a good beauty routine when you’re always on the move?
I’m all about shortcuts. My new thing is to use a cream blush on my cheeks and then dab a bit on my lips. It adds colour to your face without overdoing it.
Healthy must-haves
Do you find eating healthy hard?
Kale, cucumber, ginger, apple and celery is my favourite juice. I’m lucky because I genuinely prefer healthy treats like shakes, smoothies and juices. I feel better when I’m drinking them; my body feels better and I’m more awake.
Are you really strict with your diet?
I try to live healthily all the time, but I do need to have a couple of splurges here and there. If I’m out at a restaurant, I might have a dessert. But if I have a shoot coming up, I’ll cut this out.
How do you unwind?
When I need to relax I love lavender. I take a lavender mist away with me when I travel, and I always have lavender candles.
