One that has made waves recently is Jess Hart, model turned businesswoman and founder of LUMA, who has recently taken the beauty brand to new heights with a complete packaging overhaul for her skin care and makeup products. The new look is luxurious and will sit pretty on your vanity. Here, she shares her favourite products from her range.
On what inspired her to create LUMA...
“I have always been quite commercially minded and the beauty industry has always fascinated me. Back in 2013, I was introduced to a team who was just as passionate about the beauty industry as I was, which really inspired me to bring the brand to life. We first set out to create LUMA in 2013 and at that time there was a gap in the market for an affordable and natural cosmetics brand that took pride in its formulations. I have always believed in enhancing a woman’s natural radiance and complementing her features rather than masking them with heavy makeup – that’s the whole philosophy behind LUMA.”
On her absolute favourite product from LUMA…
“It’s really hard to pick a favourite, we have put so much work into all the products. Can I pick two?! The two products I always carry with me are Just A Touch Lip & Cheek Tint in Muse and On The Glow Highlighter in Cashmere Casbah. Both have so many benefits! I apply my Lip & Cheek Tint to my lips and apples of my cheeks and On The Glow to the high points of my face - brow bone, highs of cheekbones, bridge of nose and Cupid's bow.”

“Drinking lots of water, a good face serum and highlighter, of course! It’s seriously my skin saviour.”

“I love taking a bit of time out for myself and going to We Care Spa in Arizona. I leave there feeling like a whole new person.”
On her favourite ways to work out…
“I really like to mix up my fitness regimen. We have so many muscles in our body that we ignore from just doing the same old workouts. I like to just do a spin class and bang it out and go home, or I’ll work out with my trainer and do burpees, push-ups, lunges, TRX and mountain climbers. A lot of core exercises!
On healthy eating…
“I believe in a balanced healthy diet. It’s okay to indulge and eat those foods you really love. My favourite go-to health foods are salad with a lot of greens, smoothies, and I like to make them myself at home and add in my own health supplements.”
