Having a shiny and healthy-looking manicure can instantly make you look groomed and polished, and I’m always looking for ways to make my weekly nail care routine easier. So, I was really keen to try Scholl’s Velvet Smooth Electronic Nailcare System, which is an easy-to-use tool that can file, buff and polish, leaving your nails looking their best.

File your nails
Start with clean, dry hands, and attach the nail file head to the device. Turn it onto the normal setting and gently move the file over the edge of your nails, from one side to the other, to your desired length. Make sure to file in one direction to avoid weakening the nail.

Buff out ridges
Replace the file with the buffing head, and in light circular motions, move the tool over the nail to smooth ridges. When you’re done, wipe the nail down with a damp towel.

Polish to add shine
For the third step, apply the shine head onto the device. Set the speed to fast and once again, using a low amount of pressure, lightly polish in a circular motion.

Nourish your nails
To really make your nails shine, take Scholl’s Velvet Smooth Nail Care Oil and apply a thin layer onto the surface of each of your nails and massage with your fingers.
