PSA: The hemp seed skin care trend is about to explode
You heard it here first
Guys, hemp seed oil has crept its way onto the beauty scene and it’s quickly shaping up to be one of 2019’s biggest skin care trends.
If you haven’t really heard of hemp oil skin care, you’re probably confused as to why this ingredient has made its way into your beloved skin care products. But there’s actually a good reason behind it. You see, hemp oil offers a whole TON of benefits for your skin.
Hemp seed oil is created by pressing the hemp plant or hemp seeds and infusing them into skin care products (in case you’re wondering, hemp seed oil does not contain anything more than trace amounts of cannabinoids, so you’re not going to get high off your moisturiser, girl). Hemp seed oil is loaded with healthy fatty acids like omega 3, omega 6 and polyunsaturated fatty acids, making it a powerful antioxidant. It works to improve the appearance and texture of your skin, and what’s more, it works wonders on dry skin and inflammation.
And with more and more research going into the skin-perfecting benefits of hemp seed oil, you can expect to see a whole lot more hemp seed oil-infused beauty products finding their way into your beauty routine.
So, whether you love a good serum or are all about a stellar moisturiser, we’ve pulled together a few of our favourite hemp seed oil skin care products to help you stay ahead of the trend (‘cause we’re cool like that).
