Sarah Hyland’s year in hair makeovers

Sarah Hyland’s hair has had quite a year. Using Instagram to keep us all updated, Sarah has been sharing her numerous hair makeovers, transitioning from bronde to brown to red and back again.

We first got to know the star’s warm brown and balayaged locks in her role on Modern Family, and while she held onto that colour for a while, it’s been hard to keep up with all of her hair changes in the last few months.

In an Instagram reveal earlier in the year, Sarah showed off an almost-black wavy bob for her role as Lisa Houseman in the remake of Dirty Dancing, captioning the photo “Hello from the darker side”. Shortly after filming wrapped up, she posted a Debra Messing-inspired copper tone just in time for the North American summer.

Then, just a couple of weeks ago, Sarah shocked us all with a vibrant orange “Ginger Spice” colour, before letting everyone in on the fact that it was simply an in-between hue required to go back to her signature bronde, courtesy of hair guru Nikki Lee, co-owner of Nine Zero One Salon in West Hollywood. 

No matter which colour she’s rocking, she seems to give us instant hair envy and has us flocking to our hairdresser with inspiration in tow.
