How to get Hailey Bieber’s ‘strawberry makeup’ look

It seems Hailey Bieber has dubbed herself the queen of food-inspired makeup trends. She did start the viral glazed donut movement, after all. And she’s a huge fan of the latte makeup trend that has no doubt taken over your ‘For You’ page recently.

And now, Ms Bieber is at it again with her ‘strawberry makeup’ look. The model shared a glazed, rosy-cheeked selfie on August 3 captioned “strawberry girl summer” – and of course her followers (us included) were immediately hanging out for a tutorial of the ultra-blushy look.

So Bieber took to TikTok to share her entire strawberry girl makeup routine (as well as hint at a MAJOR Rhode launch) and we’ve broken it down step-by-step so you can recreate what’s set to be the trend of the summer…

Strawberry makeup tutorial

Of course, Bieber starts the look by prepping her skin with her go-to Rhode products – the Glazing Milk and Peptide Glazing Fluid. The brand doesn’t offer shipping to Australia (yet…), but our favourite Rhode Skin dupes will get you glazed and glowing in the meantime.

She then goes in with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel in ‘Clear’ ($42 at Sephora) to brush up and set her brows before applying the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Contour Duo ($154 at Myer) cream bronzer to her cheekbones and forehead. She uses her go-to brush, the Hourglass Veil Powder Brush ($98 at MECCA) to buff, blend and perfect her base.

Bieber also uses concealer to help lift and contour her face, applying under her eyes, beside her nose and from the outer edge of her lips to below her cheekbone. We aren’t 100 per cent sure what concealer she’s using here, but she does buff it out with what looks to be the Ambient Soft Glow Foundation Brush ($75 at MECCA).

Now for the star of the show: blush. Strawberry makeup is all about a high-gloss, ultra-pink finish to mimic a natural summer sunkissed look. “Then I went in with two cream blushes that I mixed together. Can’t say where the cream blushes are from (wink wink),” Bieber says in a voiceover. And safe to say she’s hinting at a Rhode cream blush launch – or maybe even a collab?! TBC but stay tuned for updates…

Keeping in theme with food-inspired hues, Bieber then applies a “peachy-coloured highlighter” before adding a touch of bronzer to her eyelids for a splash of colour.

She then adds a splattering of faux freckles and a “tiny wing” using the Sephora Colorful® Wink-It Felt Tip Liquid Waterproof Eyeliner ($41.52 at Amazon). For mascara, Bieber applies a light coat of the Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara ($51 at MECCA).

Now for the finishing touches: lip liner using the Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencil in what looks to be shade ‘Completely Sepia’ ($35 at Sephora) and a splash of colour using the same cream blush duo. No Hailey Bieber makeup look is complete without a glazed lip moment, so of course she topped it all off with the Peptide Lip Treatment.
