Gigi Hadid’s first makeup palette has officially launched
365 days in the making
UPDATE: If you thought the news of Gigi launching her Jetsetter palette was exciting, then the news that her collaboration with Maybelline New York extends far beyond just one palette will knock your socks off.
Over the weekend, Gigi announced her East Coast Glam and West Coast Glow collections would join her already-hyped Jetsetter palette. Both of these limited edition collections represent Gigi’s favourite makeup styles from coast to coast.
The East Coast Glam collection features two eyeshadow palettes, three nude lipsticks and corresponding lip liners, a tinted primer, a liquid illuminator, black felt tip and gel eyeliners, as well as a mascara.
Similarly, the West Coast Glow collection includes two eyeshadow palettes, three red lipsticks and corresponding lip liners, a gold liquid strobe illuminator, a nude gel eyeliner, and a Gigi Hadid Lash Sensational Mascara.
The range conveniently launches in Australia on December 9 - just in time for Christmas!
Gigi Hadid is fast becoming a one-woman empire. Not only is she a supermodel, but she can also consider herself a fashion and jewellery designer off the back of her collaborations with Tommy Hilfiger and Messika. And now she’s adding makeup mogul to her increasingly impressive resume: the 22-year-old model has just launched her first makeup collection with Maybelline New York.
Gigi has been a brand ambassador for the makeup brand since 2015, however it’s only now (after a whole year in the making) that we’re able to see what a Gigi Hadid-designed makeup collection might look like.
The model’s first foray into the makeup designing world has produced the Jetsetter palette, which features all of Gigi’s “must-haves for jetsetting around the world: eyeshadow, concealer, blush, bronzer, highlighter, mascara and lip balm,” shared the brand’s Instagram.
The multitasking product unsurprisingly features neutral tones that match Gigi’s signature makeup look of glowing, bronzed skin to a tee, as well as a handy mirror, lip balm, and two brushes (one is double-ended so technically there are three brushes!) for quick and easy makeup application when you’re on the go.
On first impressions (having not actually seen the palette in person yet), the palette features shades that are better suited to people with similar colouring to Gigi, however we are looking forward to swatching the shades for ourselves when the palette drops in Australia to give you a more accurate report.
We’re yet to hear official word on when we can expect Gigi’s palette to hit our shores, but watch this space as we’ll update you with more information as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can join Maybelline New York’s countdown to be notified as soon as the collection drops.
