Gemma Chan’s genius mascara hack for straight lashes
Serious curl, coming right up
Gemma Chan has to-die-for fluttery long lashes, however, in an interview with Allure, the Crazy Rich Asians star revealed that although she has been blessed with ultra-long lashes, they are actually naturally dead straight. “I'm lucky I have long lashes, but they're straight and they're very fine.”
Gemma explained that because her lashes are so straight, she’s had to come up with a couple of beauty hacks to ensure that her lashes stay curled all day: “the most important thing to me is to use lash curlers and then find a mascara that holds the curl”.
Specifically, Gemma uses TWO separate mascaras to keep her lashes under control. Her first choice is Maybelline New York’s The Falsies Waterproof Mascara. “I use the waterproof version, so it really holds the curl,” she said. But…and this is where her genius mascara hack comes in…she applies The Falsies mascara formula using the wand from Maybelline’s Define-A-Lash mascara. Gemma says the Define-A-Lash mascara wand “works perfectly to separate and coat every single lash”.
Whatever she’s doing, it’s working, because we’re constantly lusting after those lashes!
