What is a cleansing conditioner?
Introducing the cleansing products that have revolutionised the way you wash your hair
The thought of cleansing, conditioning and treating your hair in just one step may leave you skeptical, but co-wash products are fast becoming a fixture among those in the know. “We’re seeing a rise of co-wash products (aka cleansing conditioners). They’re unique and they differ from traditional shampoos in that they’re low- or completely non-lathering,” explains Paul Ricupito, Matrix Australia design team artist. These froth- and detergent-free products gently purify without stripping hair. “Plus, [they] reduce friction and minimise frizz and static, offering control and natural suppleness – all of which makes styling easier,” he adds. Who doesn’t like the sound of that? Here are five of the best cleansing conditioners.
