One of these $14 highlighter sticks sells every 30 seconds
Where do we get one?!
It’s not uncommon for beauty products to make the rounds on social media and blow up the Internet in the process. But you need to get in QUICK if you want to nab said product before that sucker sells out and everyone else has it but you. Now, imagine that product is also affordable AND available somewhere as convenient as your local supermarket!
Well, that’s exactly what this $14 MCoBeauty highlighting stick is. No wonder one of them sells every 30 seconds.
Never heard of MCoBeauty? It’s the budget-friendly sister brand of ModelCo that launched a little while ago. You can find their products online and at Woolworths. That is, if they haven’t all sold out by the time you read this (yep, the Champagne shade is already out of stock on Woolies’ website).
So why is there so much hype around this one product?
The MCoBeauty Highlight & Glow Stick comes in two shades: Champagne – a classic champagne gold, and Nectar – a peachy pearlescent shade. The sticks contain super-fine micro-pearl particles that help give skin a radiant, healthy glow, but it can also be built up for a more intense strobe effect.
Beauty lovers on Instagram have already bombarded the MCoBeauty Instagram page with comments on their adoration for this creamy product, with claims like “Glowy goodness,” “I love mine!! So good!”, and “I’m dying over that nectar and champagne shade!”.
Cruelty-free beauty blogger Marisa Robinsonbeauty has also given it her seal of approval after she decided to do a MCoBeauty haul: "The Highlight & Glow Sticks create the most gorgeous glow!" Beauty influencer Genevieve Maslin is a fan, too, saying “The highlighter stick is my stand out for sure; it’s so similar to NARS Copacabana but more of a goldy/skin tone by comparison. I use it on bare skin, under foundation, over foundation and literally anywhere I can fit it on my face.”
Given all the love for this little highlighter, I decided to give it a go myself. As someone who prefers a more natural highlighted look, I decided to try the Nectar shade. I found that the stick gave my skin a natural, dewy, almost-glossy finish that I wasn’t expecting, but was pleasantly surprised by as it reminded me of the enviable glow you see all over Instagram, courtesy of the Glossier Haloscope. I love the convenience and wearability of this little guy and have added it to my beauty routine for those days when I want a low-fuss fresh face. If you’re looking for a highlighter that requires minimal effort and gives you a summer-inspired sheen, then I definitely recommend you keep your eyes peeled for this highlighter to come back in stock.
