Turns out Barbara Palvin's skin care routine is powered by an Aussie brand
And it's got some seriously luxe, science-backed formulas...
The stage is set, the wings are ready and an insane amount of shimmering body lotion is on hand. And that can only mean one thing. Yep it's time for the Victoria's Secret runway show. With an absolute institution of fan fave models reprising their angel title, we're in for one hell of a show.
But before the models take the stage there's months of prep that lead up to it. Sure, we've taken a peak into the incredibly toned world of angel-inspired workouts. But what about the skin prep that leads up to the big day? Because we all know how glowy and down right perfect their skin looks (not a blemish in sight). So, how do they do it?
Well, we were lucky enough to get a glimpse into Barbara Palvin's skin care routine, with the star returning for the first time since 2018 we were eager to see how she prepared for her long-awaited return.
Tobi Henney (AKA Palvin's longtime makeup artist) dropped all her glorious skin care tips. And it turns out, just like Henney, the brand is an Aussie.
Barbara Palvin Skin Care
ICYMI: Skin care brands are embracing the world of biotechnology. And while with a name like that it might seem all too confusing, let us assure you of two things. One, it's actually way more sustainable (tick). And two, it ensures your skin care products have a science-backed approach to them (major tick). So, when we saw that Palvin's skin care was thanks to Aussie biotech brand SumaNurica everything just made sense.
So, let's have a look at the six superstar products that left Palvin's skin runway ready. But be warned, to copy her glow you're going to have to be ready to hand over a rather exxy amount, but we swear (and so does Palvin) it's worth every cent.
Starting with her skin prep, Henney cleansed her skin with the recent addition to the range, the SumaNurica Purifying Enzyme Cleansing Balm ($109 at Myer). Then as every good pamper sesh should do, Henney applied one of the serum-drenched SumaNurica Collagen Essence Hydrating Face Masks ($189 at Myer), making sure to use up every drop of serum by taking it down her neck, and massaging it all in once it was off.
Next up we've got a duo of barrier-strengthening, complexion-boosting serums. First up Henney massaged in the skin-soothing SumaNurica GHK-Cu Repairing Serum ($139 at Myer) and then followed it up with the ultra-brightening SumaNurica Nonapeptide Niacinamide Rejuvenating Serum ($169 at Myer).
Once all the serums had absorbed into her skin, it was time to hydrate. And because dewy, bouncy skin is key for the angels, Henney used two types of moisturiser. Firstly taking the SumaNurica ECM Ultra-Light Ceramide Moisturiser ($149 at Myer) across her face and then layering on top the SumaNurica Pro5 Age-Defying Peptide Cream ($209 at Myer) to lock it all in.
And there we have exactly how to copy Barbara Palvin's ultimate glowy skin care routine. Does that entitle us to a pair of our very own wings? Maybe not, but the dollar store ones count, right?
