The acne treatment that won’t dry skin out
Here’s what our Review Crew® had to say about this moisturising, matte-finish concentrate.
The product
Managing oily, acne-prone skin often means relying heavily on a myriad of active-rich skin care products that can leave skin red, dried out and scarred.
Avène Cleanance Comedomed minimises the need for excessive amounts of products, pairing a potent anti-acne concentrate with a hydrating matte-finish formula - it’s like a serum and moisturiser all-in-one.
The concentrate helps to limit the reappearance of blemishes, blackheads and excess sebum, and contains milk thistle oil, helping to restore balanced skin, reducing the appearance of blemishes and preventing future breakouts.
Our panel of Review Crew® testers put this moisturising acne treatment to the test.
The panel
Beauty Crew sent Avène Cleanance Comedomed to a panel of women aged between 18 and 35, who identify as having oily, acne-prone skin.
The lowdown
Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about Avène Cleanance Comedomed.
How it kept breakouts at bay: Our members were really impressed by how effective the treatment was at keeping oncoming breakouts at bay, with some members noting a reduction in the size of pimples compared to the pimples they usually get.
How hydrating it was: Reviewers really liked the hydrating formula, saying it was a welcome change to traditional drying acne treatments they’d tried in the past. A few of our reviewers with oilier skin were able to use the treatment in placement of a moisturiser, helping them to minimise their routine.
The way it faded scarring: RC members noticed a reduction in the visibility of their acne scarring, helping to unify the complexion: “I’ve definitely seen a slight difference, active acne has lessened, scarring from previous acne have lightened.”
