Finally! An excuse to dust off our favourite headbands. Yes, this fabulous feminine hair accessory hasn’t seen the light of day since your primary school days, but it’s officially stylish once again thanks to supermodel Karlie Kloss.
The L’Oréal Paris ambassador took to the 2016 Cannes Film Festival red carpet with a bouncy, Brigitte Bardot-esque blow-dry, pairing it with an utterly adorable black bow headband tied at the front right side of her head.
Super cute, right? But it also served a purpose, too. The hair accessory kept her long, bouncy hair out of her face in the infamous Cannes wind, and showed off her incredible complexion and striking winged eye, which came courtesy of L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Superstar Liner.
Paired with a long, sparkly frock, the bow headband adds an element of fun and playfulness, keeping 23-year-old Karlie’s look youthful and girlie.
Cherie is somewhat of a digital dinosaur, having kick-started her beauty writing career back in 2009 at PRIMPED alongside industry expert Zoë Foster Blake. Since then, her words have appeared online and on paper for BEAUTYcrew, POPSUGAR, beautyheaven, New Idea, and Fitness First, while her marketing know-how has helped brands such as L'Oréal Paris, The Body Shop, A’kin, and Dr. LeWinn’s add a journalistic flair to their digital content. She is a vocal advocate for (physical) sunscreen, is rather fond of a bold lip, and is utterly terrible at styling hair.
