Ariana Grande addresses fans comments about her body
“There are many different kinds of ‘beautiful’”
Rumours about Ariana Grande’s health and personal life have been swirling the Internet the last few months.
Fans have been comparing Grande’s transformation to past photos of the star and drawn the conclusion that she’s lost too much weight.
It’s also been insinuated that the stress of her relationship with Dalton Gomez has contributed to the change in her appearance. Some fans have even alleged that Grande and her husband are in the midst of a divorce after Gomez deleted his Instagram account and Grande was spotted without her wedding ring.
@laurenisgossip I hope Ariana Grande is doing well, as fans seem to be worried! I think she looks really pretty! I think she rocks bleached eyebrows 😊

While Grande hasn’t commented on the status of her relationship, she has shared a video to her TikTok account addressing the comments about her body.
“I don’t do this often. I don’t like it. I’m not good at it. I just wanted to address your concerns about my body, and talk a little bit about what it means to be a person with a body and to be seen and paid such close attention to,” she said in the video.
“I think we should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies no matter what,” she continued. “[Even] if you think you’re saying something good and well-intentioned.”
“Whatever it is; healthy, unhealthy, big, small, this, that, sexy, not sexy. We just shouldn’t. We should really work towards not doing that as much,” she implored her fans. “There are ways to compliment someone or to ignore something you see that you don’t like that I think we should help each other work towards. To aim towards being safer and keeping each other [safe].”
“There are many different kinds of ‘beautiful’. There are many ways to look healthy and beautiful,” she went on to say.
“I know personally for me, the body that you’ve been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body,” she confessed. “I was on a lot of antidepressants and drinking on them and eating poorly.”
“[I was] at the lowest points of my life when I looked the way you consider my ‘healthy’, she said. “That, in fact, wasn’t my ‘healthy’.”
“I know I shouldn’t have to explain that, but I do feel that by having some openness or vulnerability, something good might come from it,” she continued.
“You never know what someone’s going through,” she said kindly. “Even if you are coming from a loving place and a caring place, that person is probably working on it or has a support system that they are working on it with, and you never know, so be gentle with each other and with yourselves.”
“I just wanted to extend some love your way,” she concluded. “No matter what phase you’re in.”

Unfortunately this isn’t the first time this year a female celebrity has had to publicly address comments about her body. Singers Britney Spears and Selena Gomez have both had to deliver similar messages to their fans.

Since then, her keen interest in fashion and beauty has landed her gigs as a Digital Content Producer and Beauty Editor with titles like Girlfriend, Refinery29, BEAUTYcrew and beautyheaven. She loves the way seemingly innocuous topics like skin care and style have the ability to put a smile on people’s faces or make them think about themselves a little differently. A big believer in self love and experimentation, Briar has made a point of becoming the Australian beauty industry’s unofficial guinea pig for unusual treatments and daring hair trends.
