Amazon has some seriously quirky beauty offerings

How annoying is it when your gel manicure starts to chip and you either a) can’t get into the salon to have it removed; or b) don’t want to go into the salon and get coerced into another round of gel!

And anyone who has tried soaking off their mani at home knows just how tricky it is to get the acetone-soaked cotton pads wrapped around each of your fingertips, especially while operating with a hand that’s already been wrapped. 

Well, these little guys solve that debacle by conveniently snapping onto your finger and holding the cotton pad in place - no messy foil-wrapping required!

Shampooing your hair while getting a lil massage? Doesn’t sound bad right?! And that’s exactly what the MAXSOFT Scalp Care Brush claims to do. Okay, it might not be quite as good as the head massages on offer at your hair salon, but it definitely sounds way more fun than hair-washing the old fashioned way.

Also, back to gel manis for a second - anyone else hate when your week-old gel mani starts to lift and strands of hair get caught between the gel and your nail while shampooing your hair? This seems like the perfect hack to avoid that.

Oookay, this one has to be up there with the weirdest beauty gadgets we’ve seen. It’s a blackhead extractor that works in a rather unusual way – it allegedly has ‘double vacuum’ technology to literally suck the gunk right out of your skin – that includes dead skin, excess oil, blackheads, whiteheads and all. It’s also meant to improve wrinkles and firm the skin.

Interesting, right?!

Well, as we’ve previously discussed, the jury’s still out on how effective (or even safe) pore vacuums are but points for being a novel idea!

Nope, it’s not some kind of freaky fancy-dress costume accessory, this super weird device is actually designed to sculpt your facial muscles, when used for three minutes per day. And when the Internet got wind of this strange beauty buy, it totally freaked out. Countless beauty vloggers have had a total field day uploading videos of themselves using the device and the results are nothing less than hysterical.

However, we’re yet to see any legit studies on whether these things actually deliver their purported benefits and as YouTuber The Pretty Witch put it, “the supposed benefits probably don’t outweigh the fact that you look like a complete idiot while using it”. Touché.
