L’Oréal Professionnel Metal Detox Shampoo

I brought this shampoo because I heard alot of good things about it. For me it lived up to the claims. My hair feels really good using this shampoo, it's super shiny, soft and manageable. I think that detoxing the hair from metals definitely makes my blonde brighter. My hair also looks less frizzy using this shampoo. It says on the container to use in conjunction with the conditioner but I've had it for over 6 months and found that it does a good job on my hair alone although I don't doubt that using the conditioner would give me superior results. The only minus about this shampoo is that it's a bit pricey. I would definitely recommend this shampoo for other blondes.

I live in a area where the water is full of metals and iron ore, so I was really interested in trying this shampoo which claimed to remove them and protect hair against further deposits. . It's a creamy shampoo with a very faint scent that does'nt last after I've rinsed my hair. It does'nt contain sulphates so I was surprised by how much it foamed up the first time I used it. I normally use a shampoo that is sulphate free, so the bubbles and foam were a bit much for me. I use less of it now. It contains some patented ingredients so I'm guessing one of them is a surfactant. I like how my hair feels after using this, it feels softer and the ends are less brittle. I lighten some of my hair but did'nt notice a difference in the condition or colour of my hair after using this. It is supposed to help with the lightening process but I bought it predominantly to remove metal deposits and I believe it has done this.

Nice texture. I found it left my hair silky and smooth. Whilst retaining colour. The packaging was aesthetically appealing and easy to read. It was pleasant smell and non offensive. My hair retained its shine and I have no hesitation in recommending for all hair types. L’Oréal always provided good products at a real singable price and this is another fine example of this. Professional detox metal shampoo and conditioner is a good provider and I recommend to all kind of hair types. Thin thick or coloured. Reasonable price Nice packaging black and white bottle easy to dispense. Smell faint and not overpowering

Absolutely love the smell of this product, it makes you feel like you have salon quality in the home. My hair colour looks silky smooth once blow dried. I feel like my hair is lighter, softer and moves gloriously! Like in the television adveritsements, but for real life! It washes away all the produce after a big night and returns your hair to that salon fresh feel. Definately recommended for washes in between visiting the salon or when you want to push that haircut and blow wave out that extra few weeks.

I have been trialing this product for over 4 weeks now and I found the first shampoos a bit harsh at first but persevered to get a greats result especially when followed up the mask. You only need to use small amounts as it lathers up beautifully, the fragrances is delightful. My coloured hair is light brown with blonde highlights and the shampoo does help tone down the brassiness of the blonde. I would recommend this product followed up with the mask. The price is at the high end but will last for some time.

Thanks to L’Oreal and Beauty Crew for giving me the opportunity to review this new shampoo. I found it to have a good lather with having to use only a small amount of it. It made my hair and scalp feel clean and even before using its partner mask my hair did not feel dry. Although it states that it’s great for those who have hard water, which I don’t have, it still made my hair feel better to the touch. I think if you do help harsh water you will be extremely happy with the results of using this new product. I also think that in conjecture with the mask my hair not only looks great, it feels great. I also found that the colour of my hair stayed true to its original colour and even after a few weeks there was no yellowing or brassiness that can often occur with some shampoos and/or conditioners. Thanks again for letting me try this new product out.

I didn't find anything special about L'Oreal's Metal Detox Shampoo. It doesn't really explain on the bottle what it is supposed to do except that it is a cleanser for use after colour, balayage or bleach. I have never used a Metal Detox Shampoo before and I was interested to see what it did for my hair. It had a thickish consistency, applied easily and lathered well. The scent was subtle where I prefer a more fragrant shampoo. It did the job of washing and cleaning my hair, however, there was nothing that it did better that any other shampoo. My bleached/coloured hair did not seem any different nor in better condition after use. I probably wouldn't recommend it.

I have very dry fine hair and had never used a metal detox product before so was intrigued to try it. I also bleach my hair on a regular basis (ie. foils) so my hair is also very dry at the moment. The product is rich and I only needed a small amount for hair (my hair is very fine - you may need more for thicker hair). It has left my hair feeling soft and easier to manage. The only reason I gave a slightly less score is the product has a very strong perfume to it and may irritate sensitive skin. Although the product is fairly costly I will continue to use it as you really don't need to use very much.

As far as a shampoo the L’Oreal metal detox does lather up beautifully. You don’t need much. The smell is a nice cologne like smell which I like but some may not. It did clean my hair well but as far as feeling any difference after the metals have been removed I didn’t notice anything. I have only been using a week therefore would need to report back after a few weeks but so far no difference has been noticed. For someone that has lightened hair I did find it not as hydrating as I would like but for non coloured would be fine. So overall not bad at all but nothing mind blowing.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from of this metal detox shampoo. This shampoo has a pleasant smell and a smooth, creamy texture. The colour almost has a pearl look to it. Only a small amount is required and it lathers up so well in my hair. After the first reveal rinse, I repeat again and it feels like the deepest clean. The second rinse takes a little longer but it feels so nice to was all out. I love this shampoo and would definitely buy it again as the price feels appropriate for the quality of this product.

A thick nourishing shampoo that I felt really cleaned my hair, usually I find that I have to shampoo my hair twice but with the metal detox I found the consistency of the product to be enough to give my hair a deep clean. After using the product constantly for a week I felt that my hair stayed more vibrant and felt healthier. I usually have to wash my hair every couple of days but with this shampoo it definitely lasted longer. When using this shampoo in combination with the metal detox mask, my hair was noticeably healthier and I was surprised that my hair colour actually was brighter especially considering it was due to be coloured.

The lather / foam was rich and creamy cleansing the hair without stripping it. Initially I was skeptical about whether my hair would be clean. It was. And it felt clean for days afterwards. The fragrance is unusual - not highly perfumed, and not unpleasant, it does linger for a few days. A real surprise as I wash daily. In conjunction with the masque my hair felt fabulous. Thick, glossy and dare I say it like colour treated locks! Totally recommend it for this alone. However, added bonus is my hair has lost it's brassy tinge. Keen to see how it copes with sun, sand, surf and chlorine now.

I didn't totally get what the different was between normal detox and metal detox shampoo so I was really excited to try this. I've got coloured thin hair that gets oily at the roots. I use a lot of dry shampoo to get rid of excess oil and give it a bit of body so being able to detox my hair is really important. This shampoo smells amazing, a little does go a long way. It's got a lovely texture and it manages to nourish the ends whilst keeping the roots lighter. I've marked it down because at the price point, I think you could get better value for money.

I was initially sceptical about this product as I have super fine, bleached hair that is often frizzy and dry. But Im glad I perserved and boy, was I wrong. The shampoo has a nice, thick consistency and my hair felt instantly cleansed and not overpowered by dryness or oiliness. It foams up well -but not too much and washed out with ease. Hair felt soft afterwards but was easy to tame -which is rare for my hair. Smells nice and luxurious. Cute simple packaging, easy to use bottle. A bit pricey but worth every cent.

I have bleached damaged hair, before using these 2 products my hair was dry and lacked shine and volume. The 1st thing I noticed was the gorgeous scent of citrus fruits, i think the orange scent was the strongest one and how a little bit goes a long way. After washing my hair I noticed straight away my scalp felt like it had been cleansed. Once my hair was dry it was shiny it had loads of volume. I've noticed while using these products that the fade out of my purple hair has been really great,the colour lasted longer.

I don’t think I’ve been this impressed with a store bought shampoo before. I was only able to use it once in the trial period but it didn’t disappoint. My hair has always been naturally blonde, and tends to go brassy easily. I’ve recently gone a lot darker with blonde highlights so probably didn’t eat the full effect of how the metal is supposed to effect the blonde however it did leave my hair and scalp feeling very cleansed without drying. The texture is lovely, foams up well and with short hair I only required a small amount, even with a double cleanse. This is usually a tell-tale sign for me if the product is good or not! And considering the price tag, you wouldn’t want to be using a lot to get the job done. I’m keen to keep using it and see how much of a difference it makes to the longevity of my colour and overall texture and appearance rod my hair.

I used this product on both freshly highlighted hair and hair that hadn't had any treatments in around 3 months. Both times I only needed a small amount of the shampoo and it lathered really well and rinsed well. I thought it smelt great and definitely replaced the slightly chemically smell from the toner post colouring. It's quite expensive but I think it will last quite well as again I only needed a small amount for shoulder length fine hair. I did find the instructions were difficult to read with pale font on a glossy light reflective label. Otherwise I really liked the product and will definitely keep using.

WOW! I was really keen to try this as I have used many Loreal products before and have never been disappointed. I have very fine shoulder length hair with both natural and bleached highlights. I just love this shampoo. At first I was put off by the smell. It was quite strong the first couple of uses but has now softened. However, no complaints about the performance - just superb. You need just the tiniest amount of this product. It lathers beautifully and washes out easily, leaving your hair clean and refreshed. My highlights look cleaner and brighter. My hair has life. Great product.

I returned from overseas with my hair sun bleached and chlorine damaged from summer sun and swimming. I immediately had my colour redone at my hairdressers with roots and some lowlights that fixed the colour however my hair was still in trouble. I showed her the product and she was all for me using it. After even 1 use of this shampoo I could feel the difference. My hair was soft and silky with a shine that it has never had for quite a while, even after having the colour redone. The product itself was very thick and creamy that lathered really well and rinsed easily. I loved the small that was very delicate but smelled like a expensive professional treatment. Having only use it for a short time, yet to see if it protects the colour but so far it is doing the job.

Fabulous product. Really does remove build up, after first wash you can feel the difference, hair is soft and shiny again. It is enriched with glicoamine and ionene, which provides a deep and gentle cleansing. My hair is shiny and healthy. I love the fragrance that stays on my hair after washing. With other brands, you always need a second or third shampoo for the shampoo to foam. With this shampoo, in a single shampoo you feel that it foams well, I highlight my hair and can’t recommend this product enough!
